I'M NOT YOUR DUDE! A Vampire Diaries Encounter

Today started promptly at 5:22 am (insane seeing as how I don't wake up sometimes until 2 pm). Case in point this tweet: @tvdfansonline I think Ian and Paul fit the bill? huh? lol RT @EyemJusMe66: I'm telling YOU U have to be REEEEEAL special 2 have me out of my bed before 12!

I will admit that I was completely and utterly excited, and nervous. I've never felt anything close to this, not even for the numerous *NSYNC concerts I attended as a teen.So I wake up and do that whole toss turn routine, and ended up facing the ceiling thinking "holy s%&!, I'm meeting Stefan and Damon today!" By now my stomach is churning and I think I'm going to upchuck last nights ice cream. I don't so don't worry your pretty little heads.

Fast forward a couple hours later, I finally decided to roll out of bed and head to Tweet Deck to get some last minute counseling from @mak75231. Follow her she's amaze!

@mak7523: @EyemJusMe66 Don't worry--you won't remember the drive there or home anyway--just run over em! #TVDTour.

@mak7523: @EyemJusMe66 Go have Lucky Charms for bkfst--Frosted Lucky Charms, they're Magically Delicious! lol #TVDTour

So after consulting with, laughing with, and making perverse jokes about Ian and Paul (Bwaaahaaaaaaaa! RT @EyemJusMe66: @mak75231 it was destined that I'd have my first 3some today. LOL!) with @WajimaAlvarado, @mak75231, @romancialove, @asexiness, @tvdfansonline, I took a shower, got dressed and headed out the door without my infamous BlackBerry (hilarity ensued because of this).

30 minutes or so later I arrive at Shops at Sunset Place  10:30 ish "OMG OMG OMG OMG." While I'm walking around all of the ding dang shops I'm thinking to myself, "there's going to be a long line." I get there and guess what, I was practically number 30! I stand around a little while and then very shortly other fans start lining up behind me. I had planned to meet up with @WajimaAlvaradoat 10, but we both got there at just the right time.

Sounds Under Radio  were doing their sound check when I arrived. I really REALLY liked what I heard from them, and they seem super nice as well. Minutes fly, new friendships are made over #TVD, bottles of water are consumed, Sounds Under Radio fliers are being used as fans (sorry guys, but I think Paul and Ian may have risen the temperature because it was HOOOOOOOOOT!).

Blah, blah, blah...

Here is where they start telling us that we need to start getting into a single file line (psssssh! people don't like to listen especially teenagers).

Blah, blah, blah...

They start ushering people towards the door (insanity ensues and I realize I should have invested in some earplugs). I must have looked so unamused because one of the flashlight cops says to me sarcastically, "Don't look so excited there!" Whatevs copper dude, these chicks are about to have me in an hearing aid at the age of 25 and 3/4.

Heart starts pounding out of control. Seriously ask @WajimaAlvarado. I had her feel it, and her friend too!

Cue line head counter person. I'm 4th out of 10 in my group which didn't makes any sense whatsoever in the long run. We enter the store and I get entranced by the various Halloween hair bows on the wall while everyone else is having a shit-fit over Ian and Paul.

We move. We move some more. And I can see the top of Mr. Wesley's head (I even got a pic. see below).

I see Ian *dies*

I see Paul and Ian *resurrects and dies again*

Paul and I make eye contact ( I think he has a thing for me). At this point I've died twice and I'm no cat (not that I know of anyway) sooooo what do I do? I die a third time.

First thought in my head, "Ian's head is so small!" Don't ask just read.

The 3 in front of me have their moments, and there's me and me alone for a good 20 seconds (FOREVER).

Ian puts his fist out for me to what? Fist bump? (processes thought in head for 1 second).

Luckily another fan caught it on her camera. Image Source.

I make a fist and do as I am supposed to do because you can't leave a man hanging. I'm thinking, "I'M NOT YOUR DUDE!" "WHAT ARE WE, DRINKING BUDDIES?!" That's what friends do to friends. I'm trying to make you one of my future ex husbands and you want to FIST BUMP ME?!

I'm sure MOST of you would kill to fist bump Ian, but this was my initial thought so bare with.

Paul is staring directly at this interaction as our fists connect in all of it's Wonder Twin wonderfulness.

Ian: pointing at the key necklace around my neck asks, "Are those the keys to your heart?" then *bows his head* to sign my poster.

Me: *looks down at my necklace and lifts it up off of my shirt* "Yes!"  (lies) "I have a lot of them!"

Ian: "Yes you do."

Paul: You have an abundance of keys to your heart.(he def didn't say the word abundance now that I'm remembering it was more like)

Paul: *laughs and says* "yeah, what do you have there like... You have a lot of keys to unlock your heart." *looks at me directly in my eyes with a smile on his face*

Me: Yep! 1 for you, and you, and a couple others...(only in my head did I say this. Actually it was more like)

Me: *laughs* "I know!" *looks up to find Ian looking directly at me smiling*

Me: *putting left had over my ear says* "I'm going to be deaf, all of this screaming! I don't know how you guys do this!"

Ian, Paul, and I: share a laugh together

Paul: *staring at me and laughing at the same time says* "Yeah no kidding, all 3 of us are."

Ian, Paul, and I: jointly laugh again.

At this point I'm walking off... (I'm pretty sure I said thank you)

Ian: "Thank you so much for coming." *huge smile*

Me: I die yet again

Paul: "Yes, thank you for coming to see us!"

Me: floats out of Hot Topic.

blah, blah, blah...I love their laugh by the way.

An hour or so passes and then Sounds Under Radio performs 3 songs. Loved it!

Ian and Paul walk out and down to the stage *insanity ensues again*

And then the Q&A begins.

I'll cut it short (lol) here and leave you with some pictures for now. Look for the rest of my fan encounter later.

*If you want to use my pictures or videos PLEASE do not take credit for yourself that is all that I ask of you guys.*

If you've seen a video of the Q&A, when Ian says "Wow that's a tiny shirt." He was referring to her shirt.

The crowd was definitely LOUD enough!

Paul fist bumps (see, friends!) Ian after they've made plans to share fans on the Wesleyhalder Island.

O_o

I'm not sure Paul digs the bloody hand.

No Baby For Bey & Jay Z Just Yet! Damn You US Weekly!

So after every entertainment reporter on the planet (that's what it seemed like) reported that Beyonce and Jay Z were expecting their first child together, Ms. Tina Knowles appeared on the Ellen show this past Thursday to "clear a few things up." Is Beyonce Really With Child?

Well looks like it may be true. According to US Weekly (who isn't very credible in my book), Beyonce and Jay Z are expecting their first child together. Sources say the baby wasn't necessarily planned, but they are happy. Bey is suppousedly in her first Trimester. If you guys are in fact expecting, congrats!

Never Let Me Go: A Movie Review... Well Sort Of.

I was invited to an advance movie screening of Never Let Me Go about 2 weeks ago by a Local movie reviewer, The Infamous Billy The Kidd. I had no clue what this movie was about, and had decided that I wouldn't look at the trailer because I liked the idea of not going in with preconceived notions.I also decided that I would go by myself to avoid any interruptions while the movie was showing because POTTER forbid anyone talk to me while I'm watching a movie!!!

After about 20 minutes, and 3 missed u-turns later, I arrived at the theater with movie pass in hand. I walked into the theater as directed and I knew before hand I DID NOT want to sit in the middle because it would just make me feel even more alone so, I sat in a seat nearest the left wall (this proved to be a very wise choice). As I'm walking down the isle I get the sense that eyes are watching me and people are thinking "Is she coming to see a movie alone?" "how sad!" "she must be waiting on a friend to join her." Now, if you've ever gone anywhere by yourself you know exactly the feeling I am talking about.

I sat there playing around with my BlackBerry trying not to look so "by myself" even though I was in fact by myself. A chatterbox bunch joins in with the theater crowd, one girl kept protesting "I don't want you to sit by me," and I'm thinking "please don't sit by her for Potter sake." The Kidd comes in with t-shirts; enough to let you know that he's going to be giving them away, but how?

He rolls them up and stuffs them in a bag, introduces himself to the crowd and says "Fox Search Light gave me these shirts to give away, so if you want one I need to hear you!!" At this point I abandon all of my "I'm alone at the movies so I'm going to make myself as inconspicuous as possible" persona, and jumped out of my seat and started yelling with the crowd "WOOOOOOOOOO!!!" The Kidd and I make eye contact and he chucks a shirt my way (result of my awesome seating choice because mostly everyone else sat in the middle rows). The shirt falls one row short of my row and an older woman goes for it (not so fast mamacita, that shirt is MINE!) All I can remember was diving for it over on her row and I snatched it up, and she gives me THE LOOK. You guys know that look like, "BITCH!" yeah, that's what she gave me. I paid her no attention because I got what was rightfully mine. I made the noise, I made the eye contact, it's MINE ALL MIIIIIINE (insert evil laugh). Funny what free stuff does to a person.

After the shirts were all given away, lights were off, the camera rolled, and about 2 hours later I was almost inconsolable. NOBODY TOLD ME TO BRING KLEENEX! Though, it was a bit of a snoozer at the beginning, when it finally picked up, IT PICKED UP AND TOOK OFF! Andrew Garfield's performance was astounding. He made me feel as though I knew his character which in turn made me feel so deeply for him (cue tears). Carrie Mulligan held her own as well as Keira Knightley, but Garfield really blew me away. It is based on the book of the same name written by Kazuo Ishiguro which is regarded by TIME as "The best novel of the decade." I would def check it out when it comes to a theater near you. For now, here's the trailer.

Willow Smith's "Whip My Hair" video Gets 2 Fabulous Thumbs Up!

Have you seen Willow Smith's "Whip My Hair" video? With the surplus of unoriginal, bling, and booty obsessed hip-hop music out there, this has to be one of the BIGGEST breaths of fresh air in the music industry I have seen in a very long time. FINALLY young black kids have a positive image to look to in the world of mu...sic. The video is very colorful, original, creative... the works.

He just might be EVERYTHING!

When I think of a modern-day real-life Captain Planet, there is only one person that comes to mind, Mr. Ian Somerhalder. I became familiar with this amazing man when a former friend of mine swayed me into watching LOST. LOST was one of those shows that I wanted to get into, but for some reason it just never happened. Needless to say, it became a very fast favorite so fast, I ended up spending 2 days straight watching all of the episodes on abc.com, and spent about a month trying to get my sleeping schedule back to "normal." One of the characters that I lusted over was Boone, the stepsister banger (I mean I don't know if they actually ever had sex but he totes wanted to if he didn't). Much to my dismay, just as soon as Boone was introduced into my life, he was gone, kaput, finito, dead and gone to see the big man in the sky (insert sad face). I cried, I wept, I dropped to my knees and asked the great TV Gods, "WHYYYYYYYYYYY????!!!!"

Fast forward a couple of years later, Ian makes his triumphant return to TV for all of my viewing pleasure on The Vampire Diaries as Damon Salvatore. This show is my EVERYTHING! If you follow me on twitter (@eyemjusme66) then you know about 80% of my tweets are about #TVD. As I grew to love Ian's new character Damon, I wanted to learn more about the man behind the most amazing a-hole character EVER!!!

Ian is not only a brilliant actor, but an amazing environmental/animal activist. Most of you that are reading this I'm sure, do not know me in my every day life, but a lot of my friends and family consider me as a tree huger. Ever since I can remember, I have always tried my best to do right by our planet. Whenever someone would throw trash on the ground I would make them pick it up (even if I didn't know them). I don't allow people to mistreat animals, and I think fur anything is disgusting (you will often notice me referring to fur wearers as people who like to wear dead animals). I do however, have that dilemma of me being a meat eater and all, but that is another post for another day.

Anywho, seeing how passionate Ian is about the world and animals has made me REALLY like Ian for Ian, not for the roles that he plays on TV and film. He's articulate, passionate, a Sagittarius (haaaaay so am I), smart, and humble. All of these reason and many others is why I believe that he is EVERYTHING that we need to help change the world. I know this would be a lot to put on his shoulders, but he is already making a change. I as well as many other of his fans have become more aware of our environment because of him.

The point of this post is not to turn you into a LOST or Vampire Diaries fan, but to make you aware of a celebrity who is doing good by the title. Someone who is actually doing and not just talking. And if you are not following him and would like to, he goes by the Twitter handle of @iansomerhalder.

Below I have included the link to a video of the Washington Post's Live Conference where he talks about the environment and social networking.

I'm Back...Well, Sort Of

Hey people! Everything is finally back to normal around here (my current living quarters) so I can now get back to blogging. I will not be officially back until Friday, but I just wanted to stop by and give an update. I have a lot of new things planned for Life Not So Fab as I've noticed it has become more of a fashion blog rather than an everything else kind of blog. I want to talk more about TV, movies, celebrities, food, and all sorts of other stuff so, be on the lookout for it all. I will see ya on Friday!

Not So Fab Luck!

So how's it going blogger peeps? I have to be the unluckiest person I swear. I have not neglected my dearest blog, I've just been delayed in updating like I want. We've been renovating the house and needless to say, everything has been in disarray for the past month or so coupled with me getting sick, getting over it, and getting sick again. The neighbor cut down a tree in the backyard and mistakenly cut the line that was tied to both the house phone and the internet so yeah, there has just been a mess going on over here. I will be getting back to blogging hopefully within the next week or so once everything gets put back together, and granted I do not get sick again :( I have been doing a little bit of shopping, and have lots to share with you guys. Until then, keep yourselves safe out there, and keep being fabulous!
